Cancer Group Opens Facebook Page Bolton Cancer Patients and Carers Consultative Group has opened a Facebook page as a resource which can be used to access some of the locally / regionally and nationally available information that might be of interest or help to local cancer patients, their families and members of the public generally.
Visitors to the page can follow links to see how Cancer Services at the Royal Bolton Hospital have been assessed against the national quality assurance programme for NHS Cancer Services; follow links to sources of information and support for carers; learn more about the National Cancer Screening Programmes; read an article which focuses on talking about your feelings and how you’re coping; see the latest Lung Cancer Awareness Campaign encouraging people who’ve had a persistent cough for three weeks or more to see their GP; and get information on the Cancer Drugs Fund – to list but some of the articles posted.
New articles will be added regularly.
