WELL done Brian Derbyshire. It’s brave of you to be so outspoken about the changes to “benefit UK”.

Many people are still not aware of the vanishing millions. I was unaware until 1970. A good friend who I worked with at a nursery from 1949, had emigrated to the USA with her Polish fiance in 1951.

However, in 1970, she rang to ask if I could find the local DSS number as she had mislaid it.

She explained that her eldest child had finished school, so she had to report the matter to the DSS as she received the allowances from England.

I was shocked to say the least. I didn’t ask if she would also be entitled to pensions and her husband’s war pension. Can we afford to throw away these millions?
