I AM writing to add my voice to the many recent letters of concern regarding the proposed demolition of the Theatre Church. All the drama and dance companies who formerly used this facility must now be wondering where they are going to perform in the future.

I wondered if it would be possible to adapt the Victoria Hall into a suitable venue? It already has a theatrical ambience with it’s horseshoe- shaped auditorium and plasterwork balconies.

I believe it was originally conceived to look more like a theatre than a church and, in fact, has played host to a number of musicals in the past.

All that would be needed would be a false proscenium designed to match the Victorian plasterwork of the hall and a new stage erected at the rear of the building Could not the £300,000 already raised to purchase the Theatre Church be used to effect this? It would not affect the building’s use as a church and would provide a suitable alternative for the loss of the Theatre Church and unavailable Albert Halls.

Peter Lewis Fairchild Hilden Street Bolton Facebook Bolton's hospital food 'among worst in country'

Caroline Entwistle: I was always fed ok when I've been in. And the food was ok.

Tom Guffogg: Can't be as bad as the muck that's served at Sudbury Hospital, Canada. Good for road fill that's all — guessing game with the patients what’s on the plate.

Gary M Hough: Cost cutting and penny pinching at the bottom line - and you wonder why the food is cack? Go figure peeps.

Linzi Council: I had my baby in June and was in for 3 days. I didn’t eat a thing they gave me — looked awful! So you can imagine the taste — yak.

Matty Jones: Make the food better and the men would not want to go home to their wife's cooking, along with the nagging.

Dawn Morris: You can have takeaways delivered to your bed!

Sophie Wilcock: After I'd had my baby they gave me a mini rock hard naan bread and some grated cheese! Not what you need after 9 hours in labour and hadn't eaten in 24 hours!

Jane Seventieswildchild Cooper: The last I was in hospital as an in-patient was January 1979... the food was ok then lol xxx Christina Latham: Well, we must be lucky as food has been fine when we have been in hospital. We can't expect silver service and fine dining! We are fortunate we still have a health service! A stay in hospital is a necessity — suppose you could always stay at home and suffer, but at least you can choose your own food!

'White hot' legends re-unite for charity match Pete Best: As the White-Hot legends won 3-1 get them signed up for the first team, that way we might win a match.

Michael Green: David Lee is still as good as he was back in the day — he out ran half the other team’s players.
