WHILE most politicians and the media have been concentrating on what Scotland thinks, we in England have again been ignored.

However, now this issue has been resolved, we have, at last, got the opportunity to get an English Parliament that would accurately reflect our views free from interference from the rest of the UK’s MPs who long had their own elected bodies and unfair extra public funding, thanks to Labour’s discredited Barnett formula.

To their credit, the Conservatives have indicated that England should receive equal treatment, ie: a Parliament that reflects our interests.

However, Labour, who created this problem, has compounded this unacceptable unfairness by abruptly opposing both English votes for English laws and an English Parliament.

Voters in Bolton are faced with an undemocratic, anti-English Labour Party treating us as second class citizens.

Both Bolton West MP Julie Hilling and Bolton South East MP Yasmin Qureshi have recently been vigorously campaigning on behalf of Scots and, bizarrely, Palestinians.

What about the rights of their own constituents?

The English Democrats is the only political party to campaign for an English Parliament and a fairer system of public spending.
