WHEN I was at school we had regular health inspections such as height, weight, eyesight and hair health. ‘Nitty Nora’ was a concept we accepted and did not fear in any way.
Five days after returning to school in September, my great- granddaughter had head lice.
She had no ‘nits’ just adult lice that she must have caught from another child.
Having head lice is uncomfortable to any child, they cause itching and scalp damage through scratching.
Is it not time that ‘Nitty Nora’ returned to Bolton’s schools? No child is immune from the infestation of head lice.
