THE Victoria Hall is a fine building that all Boltonians can be proud of.
I think it is very short sighted for the council to spend £4.5million on the Albert Halls and ignore the grand heritage on its doorstep which is in danger of having to close for the lack of upkeep funds.
This would be a great less for Bolton and future generations.
The dwindling congregation that worships there gives as much as it can, but this is only a drop in the ocean.
This fine building is used for many projects — ie concerts, school graduations etc, — and it also helps lots of people in need.
So why can’t the council give at least £1million to preserve the Hall and use £3.5million on the Albert Halls?
