AFTER all the reasons put forward by charities who rely on the canopy sales there is absolutely no doubt that the council should be charitable and relocate the canopy in a part of town where the footfall is good and access for unloading sales items is appropriate.

I firmly agree with Councillor Walsh when he says and I quote: ''Getting rid of the canopy was exactly the wrong thing to do''.

On behalf of the many charities who have relied on the canopy — the stray cats and dogs, the bears who suffer so dreadfully on the bile farms of China, many others and all the hard working dedicated volunteers, please relocate the canopy and give us back the best fund raising outlet we've ever had.
