I saw a production of Jesus Christ Superstar at The Albert Halls in Bolton, directed and choreographed by Marje Brayshaw and performed by Bolton Premier Productions.

I would like to pay an accolade to the truly magnificent performance. I have in the past been fortunate enough to see this very popular rock opera on both Broadway and in the West End. The standard of performance was exceptional and equal to any I have seen by a professional theatre company.

I was so impressed that I returned to the Albert Halls to see the show for a second time. I was not to be disappointed — the cast once again performed with such energy and passion it was a delight to watch. After seeing such an outstanding performance I was invited to speak about the production on BBC local radio.

The show was very moving and dramatic in parts, this was beautifully created by the amazing principle cast members. The crucifixion was unbelievable as Jesus was raised above the stage on an elevating cross. The choreography was superb, combined with exceptional acting and singing. This production of Jesus Christ Superstar had everything that a professional theatre company could offer. I was honoured to be an audience member at such professionally produced performance.

I would give this very entertaining production of Jesus Christ Superstar a definite 10 out of 10 and a monumental well done to everyone involved at Bolton Premier Productions. I am waiting in anticipation for the next production.
