RE the letter on the withdrawl of the No 300 bus to the Trafford Centre. Could I thank South Lancs transport for NOT informing the public of the withdrawl of this service. It was my husband's birthday so we decided to go to the Trafford Centre to shop and have meal. On arriving at Moor Lane (this being a Thursday) to find there was no 300 to the Trafford Centre our day was completely spoiled as we have planned it for weeks.
Since then we have made enquiries, there is only one bus on Saturdays. We always go during the week as it is not as packed, also we are not too good on our feet and in our 70s so therefore avoiding the crowds.
There is a 22 bus which takes and hour and ten minutes stopping at ever request stop.
Surely the company could put the service on every other day with a half charge for pensioners with their passes.
Again we the public are being deprived of visiting other places. TheTrafford Centre to us was only available via the bus, we don't drive and and hour and a half both ways is out of reach for us. Someone, somewhere please look at providing transport to the Trafford Centre.
