WATCH out people of Westhoughton and surrounding areas, once again another developer Persimmon Homes and Harcourt Developments want to put 300 homes on land at Lee Hall to the north of Platt Lane.
Westhoughton has not got the infrastructure for a development of this size also Park Road and Platt Lane are gridlocked for at least four hours every day around rush hours. It is hard enough to get a doctor's appointment at the moment as it is, there are no car parking spaces during the day at our railway stations. The last time a developer put plans in for this area their plans where blown apart from a professional traffic assessor. So people of Westhoughton make sure you have your say at a public meeting on Tuesday November 25 at the Carnegie Hall in Library Street, because if this development is allowed all locals or people driving through will suffer. Our green land is being eroded by developers bit by bit. At the moment our green fields are free to walk through and enjoy the wildlife and chill out in this hectic country/. Please don't let us lose this. I must admit that Bolton Council has fought these developers so far because they know we can't accommodate such large developments.
