I AM ashamed to say that I am an avid reality TV show fan but I now feel that some of them have gone well past their sell-by date.

"Celebrity Big Brother" has been churning out the same tired, tried and tested formula for years and I can't even remember who won the last series. "Strictly Come Dancing" is marred by the irritating mannerisms of Claudia Winkleman (her stand-on Zoe Ball was much better). The "X Factor" is car-crashing into chaos with the appalling antics of its panel of judges and sub-standard so called singers. It is better to record the "Results" editions of these programmes so that the mediocre "fill-in" bits of padding can be skipped over. Similarly, "I'm a Celebrity get me out of here." Will someone get it through to Ant and Dec that they are tedious, boring, annoying and most definitely unfunny. The programme's format is becoming so repetitive and predictable. With a change of presenters it might survive another two years if lucky. There are many more reality shows, all seemingly taking ideas from one another, that I have given up watching, there needs to be a drastic rethink about this particular format if it is going to survive.
