In response to Andrew Davidson about Immigration,

He seems to have read the UKIP/Daily Mail guide on misleading the masses of the truth.

Firstly yes immigration numbers are up but 55% of those who have migrated to the UK are actually non-EU citizens, thus meaning they have to apply for visas long before they even board a plane or a ship! As for the other 45% yes they are EU citizens but, again, over 70% of those are actually British ex-pats moving back to the UK.

Therefore the so-called unprecedented EU numbers is completely wrong to say as it is actually one of the lowest numbers in the last years years of non-British EU citizens.

As for control, yes we do have control due to the fact that we never signed the Schengen Agreement, along with Eire, which means that everyone has to show their passports upon entry and departure of the UK, and yes EU citizens have been refused entry into the UK due to their criminal records or classed as high risk.
