AS Mr Cameron attempts to garner credibility for price deflation, Mr Osborne tells us we can be the 'richest' country on earth.

Can I advise caution from both; price deflation currently due to an oil crisis (glut) and the 'slowdown' in China could be the start of the next financial/global crisis, just at a time when most UK residents haven't yet recovered from the last one.

We need to put our house in order both economically and socially. We are sixth in the economic league table which is not a bad position, given our geography and size. What needs fixing is the model and distribution. Socially we need to reform. Thirty years ago I visited A&E at Bolton on a Saturday afternoon, was seen, treated and discharged within half an hour as there was nobody else there. My point being, we are living differently.

Certain groups in society needs a version of self-policing or much better still, we need full-blown national service to return for every UK citizen, male and female. Five years, not two or three, and no age limit either.
