PLEASE could the three MPs who represent Bolton tell the people of Bolton where they stand on the bill currently going through Parliament which will change the law on trespass so that the companies wishing to damage our environment by fracking can get on with it more quickly.

This legislation will allow them to drill under your houses without your permission and you will not be paid compensation. This, in a democracy, has to be wrong.

As I understand it, both the Labour and Conservative parties receive money from the companies which finance the drilling companies. Fracking is already banned in France which has a lot more open spaces than we do. New York has just passed legislation banning fracking. So why is David Cameron so obsessed with it?

The chemicals used can cause cancer; millions of gallons of water are needed for the process and we're short of water. Also, with the fall in oil prices it is now not viable. But this legislation, once passed, will not go away. So I ask again, is the Labour Party in favour of or against the change in the law? Are our MPs in favour of or against? They are being exceedingly quiet on the subject. I would strongly suggest that they should be opposed to this legislation. Bolton could be very badly affected by this change in the law. We have a right to know.
