MAY I respond to the interview reported in Monday’s Bolton News, with UKIP leader Nigel Farage, at his party event at the Whites Hotel.
When asked by your reporter about the Green surge, the Green Party dramatic rise in membership, we currently have 50,000 members some 6,000 more than Ukip, and and bigger than the Lib-Dems by a similar margin.
Farage dismissed any Green surge, and went on to say he has 120,000 followers and he does not count them as members, no Mr Farage our 50,000 are fully paid up members of the party, not just followers, added to this there is a further 10,000 members of the Scottish Green Party.
Mr Farage again did his usual stunt of attempting to mislead people, nothing new to this hotch potch of a party.
A party devoid of real policies to tackle the problems we face, it is pro austerity, City of London friendly, a party that looks backwards instead of forwards.
The Green Party by contrast is anti-austerity, unlike the other parties, and is the only party offering a real alternative, and hope for the future, for our children, and grandchildren.

Green Party Parliamentary Candidate,
