I WAS interested to read Chris Green's concerns about the the Green Party not standing a candidate in Bolton West.

As a resident in this constituency I want to express my concerns about Chris Green not replying to any of my correspondence.

Last year, after getting his newsletter about possible fracking in Westhoughton and inviting comments, I wrote to him at some length explaining my opposition, not least that any further burning of fossil fuels can only increase carbon emissions when they are already dangerously and almost irreversibly high. I asked for his comments and also if he would help the Bolton Against Fracking Group to organise a public debate involving all interested parties, such as Quadrilla, the main fracking firm, the Council and the political parties. I never received a reply, not even an acknowledgement.

I know he received my letter because I included it with a completed questionnaire sent out by the Tories, and ever since I have been deluged with emails from the top politicians in his party. 'Dear Graham' they write, although I've never met any of them! But never one from Mr Green.

In January I emailed him asking if he could please reply to my letter. Again no reply nor acknowledgement.

Finally, in his most recent newsletter, and I wonder how much it's all costing the Tories in Bolton West. Chris Green says that he'll ease the traffic on the two main roads in and out of the town. If fracking goes ahead there will be a huge number of tankers needed every day, throughout the day to bring a massive amount of water and dangerous chemicals in, and take contaminated chemicals out from the drill heads.

This can only add to already chronic congestion. I wonder if Chris Green has ever tried driving in and out of Westhoughton during peak times, or most other times. It's a long long crawl. So, if you do read this letter Mr Green, please can I have a reply.
