ON behalf of everyone at Bolton Hospice, they would like me to pass on their huge, huge thanks and sincere appreciation to everyone involved in any way in Saturday evening’s ‘Smithills Sinatra Centenary Concert’ at the Victoria Hall.

The hospice team were thrilled to see so many hundreds of people in the audience, the Smithills standards and presentation were as truly professional as ever (if not more so) and many more hundreds of pounds have been raised for the hospice once again by Smithills, which was the main aim.

I have received so many texts and e-mails about Saturday evening’s concert over the weekend and reaction has been quite astounding. The standing ovation from the Mayor and Mayoress on the night said it all.

Thanks again to everyone who played, sang, supported or attended and here’s to a great Spring Term school concert next Wednesday night (March 25th) Tickets are now on sale at main reception/the school office (just £4 as ever) and we will premier our brand new ‘Tom & Jerry’ and Torvill & Dean’s ‘Bolero’ with Peter Martin AV in the concert.
