IN reply to Paul Richardson’s letter, Saturday, March 21, "Stifling the real debate."

He quotes, Trevor Phillips, deputy chair of the board of the National Equality Standard: "Multiculturalism has become a racket, in which self-styled community leader’s bargain for control over local authority funds that would prop up their own status and authority."

Paul Richardson is using Trevor Philips comments to justify his discussion paper, ‘The Elephant in the Town Hall.’ He says his paper is a criticism of the Labour group and funding in Bolton wards. It’s not.

It’s a history of the Asian community in Bolton from the 1960’s. There is no mention of funding and he sarcastically criticises his Labour and Conservatives colleagues for doing their job. The main issue in his paper is, I quote: "The social division between Muslim culture and everybody else in the town."

The paper is his personal view and serves no good but to stir up discontent. Read the discussion paper and my response on Paul Richardson’s Blog: http://littleleveranddarcy leverblog.co.uk/2014/

There are indeed questions to be asked about the distribution of funding in all Bolton wards but this should be discussed in the council chamber for all to hear. If Paul Richardson had any integrity he would suggest this. Council procedure must be followed or we descend into anarchy.

I thought Bolton UKIP was a party to bring about real change but in my opinion the party is run by a politically inexperienced Chair with members and candidates who are mainly politically naive.

I was deselected from standing as a Breightmet UKIP candidate in 2015 because I objected to Paul Richardson’s discussion paper; you cannot have an opinion in UKIP. Thank you to the people in Breightmet who supported me with their votes in the 2014 election.
