BOLTON Council's plan to develop Cheadle Square is not a new idea.
Our Council published a 158 page document in 2011 describing how they want Bolton "to look like in the future up to 2026".
In this document, policy TC5. states of its goals is to," redevelop Moor Lane Bus Station and Cheadle Square for a mixture of employment, cultural, residential and family orientated leisure uses".
It's clear from this document that they consider Cheadle Square and Moor Lane Bus Station to be one and the same and therefore it was inevitable that development on Cheadle Square would take place sooner or later.
The document gives a very clear picture as to how Bolton Council plan to shape the town over the next decade and I recommend people to read it.
You can find the document by typing "GF02 bolton core strategy" into Google.
