PLEASE save our historic listed TownHall from 'structural vandalism.'

This is about the only jewel left in Bolton's crown, as the others have been destroyed, as have the lovely old pane trees in Newport Street.

The fountains with their gardens compliment the building so well with their steps matching those of the town hall.

The so called 'jet fountains' will just collect litter as I have seen in other towns.

We do not need any more cafes in this area, there are enough eateries already and Bolton's weather is hardly like the south of France.

The litter and dropped food will attract even more feral pigeons and rats.

Surely the stonework of the building cannot be damaged, as proposed, as a listed building is not allowed structural alterations.

Miss Von Motz,

Red Bridge,

Bolton.
