I AM disappointed that Labour took a bashing in the General Election.

I am even more disappointed that so many people actually voted for a government with such a track record.

After five years of Tory-led government,we have parents, in ever-increasing numbers, having to rely on food banks to feed their families. People having their only source of income stopped, because the bus didn't come on time and they were 10 minutes late at the Jobcentre.

We have schools where teachers are providing food, clothes and bus fares for youngsters whose parents are destitute.

What about the dad and lad who were evicted from the house they had lived in for more than 30 years, because of the evil bedroom tax. The lad had to have all his toes amputated after trying to survive the winter in a tent with his sick elderly dad.

Stories like this make you weep, or should do. But we have all read them, and worse. This is why I am so disappointed, that people have actually voted for a government that is so uncaring, so heartless.

Is this a reflection of what this country has become?
