RARELY do I put pen to paper but I am so outraged at the latest proposal to further decimate the heart of our town.
The decision to build student accommodation on Cheadle Square was bad enough, but now to destroy the fountains and replace them with cafe/coffee bars really is the pits.
If people are so dehydrated surely they can walk 20 yards or so to the next one. The town is virtually ready to sink in both of them and wine bars. There is not much else to stay in town for now unless it is to look at the litter.
Please, please, Bolton council start listening to the people of Bolton before you completely turn the town into a concrete mass of ugly buildings.
Sure you must have realised your mistake when you didn't heed us all complaining at the destruction of the unique Victorian Market Hall.
