I CAN’T believe Bolton council are going to spend £2million to change our bins to smaller ones, what are they really going to achieve with this crazy idea?
I know more rats and vermin, so they can charge us extra to get rid of them. My neighbour recently had to buy a new bin because his had been stolen, at a cost of £35.Will they reimburse the £35 when they attempt to take his bin away? Where I live in Halliwell there is a park directly behind me where people fly tip black bin bags and rubbish all the time, the council come up sometimes (only after a call from us) and move some of the rubbish but certainly not it all. A few days later... yes you have guess it more rubbish.
It was bad enough to move from weekly to fortnightly but this will cause more infestation in the town. I have the answer, why not scrap bin collections altogether and save the council all that expense and the people can have big bonfires every week to get rid of the rubbish. Get real Bolton council for the sake of the law abiding recycling people of Bolton.
