AS one of those who publicly protested about the council's plans to deface the facade of the town hall I would like to publicly express my relief at, and gratitude for the withdrawal of the plans, and to give credit to the leader of the council, other councillors and town officers for having genuinely listened to the well-founded concerns of Bolton's residents.
