I WOULD like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported our Midnight Memories Walk on Saturday, June 20.
This event has proved once again to be a resounding success with £130,000 pledged in sponsorship on the night, an amount that can only be achieved with great support.
This event highlights the generosity of the Bolton Community and the ability to unite and help their local Hospice to care for their family and friends whilst facing a life-limiting and incurable illness.
We are indebted to so many for the success of this event, which includes all the participants, volunteers, sponsors, services and local companies that contribute free their time and services free of charge.
In order to stage this event we do incur unavoidable costs and so we therefor urge everyone to raise sponsorship or to make a donation to help us to reach our fundraising target of £100,000. We realise that it is never easy collecting your sponsor money and your efforts are greatly appreciated by everyone at the Hospice.
We would like to announce a final figure for this event sometime soon and so we ask that you return your sponsor money as soon as possible or a donation.
I am truly proud of the people of Bolton and I am humbled and grateful to you all.
Judith Bromley
Chairman of Bolton Hospice
