ANDREW Davidson seems not to know that the majority of state benefits are already means tested and are based on the bare minimum needed to live on.
Osbourne deliberately held back telling voters who would suffer the brunt of his cuts, it is the very people whom he and his party allegedly support, hard working families in low paid jobs.
How many votes would it have cost his party if he had been honest with the voters? How much will his £9 a hour living wage be worth in 2020 after his cuts are taken into account, a vast number of families will be worse of.
Higher insurance tax, higher road tax, what else does he have in store for hard working families, higher personal tax allowance was a liberal party policy not a conservative one.
Osborne's economic plan is attack the least well off in society, cut services but charge more.
Andrew Davidson should know the the UK state pension is very low considering that we are such a rich country and pensioners receive very few free benefits compared to other countries, so don't begrudge people who have paid into a system for 50 years or more what little they get.
