THERE are four candidates all wishing to be the next leader of the Labour Party but some of the Press has chosen to vilify only one of the candidates. Obviously the Establishment fear this man dramatically; the majority of people of this country have nothing to fear from him, he stands for social justice and fairness in society; he believes that this country can do far better for every person living in it.

The remaining three in various degrees wish to be a satellite of America; they wish to privatise the National Health Service. They will deny it of course but they are in favour of the Transatlantic Trade Agreement.

They will allow fracking in this country and they will allow the banks to do as they wish. They want to follow the ideology of Tony Blair, the last Prime Minister to mislead the people of this country.

The banks have too much power. In Germany the banking system accounts for approximately 3% of the gross national product whereas in this country it is over 10%. The British public seem to believe that private enterprise is good but publicly owned services are bad.

I believe in private enterprise but also that there is nothing wrong with public ownership; I believe that all utilities should be publicly owned and run for the benefit of the people.

There is only one man prepared possibly to stand up to America but he like, the Greek prime minister, could well bottle under American pressure. The only man in my lifetime to stand up to the Americans was Harold Wilson and he suffered for it.

The only candidate worth supporting is Jeremy Corbyn.

We should be against austerity and we should be in favour of getting Britain moving again.

Who can seriously be happy with our transport system, our utility system, our prison system or our social services? This country is rich enough to pay for everything this nation needs not its wants but what it needs.

But we mustn’t forget the private sector for without the private sector this country has nothing. Its entrepreneurs are the lifeblood of any country and we must never forget that but it’s about fairness and it’s about caring for our fellow man. We must seriously alter the way we are governed. I say again that Parliament is not fit for purpose and should be abandoned. We need something new.
