CAN I say a huge thanks on behalf of the residents of Bradshaw and Harwood, to three community champions: Mr Collier, Mrs Hurst and Mrs Holt, The Friends of Longsight Park group and other residents who have made a huge difference in clearing ginnels, footpaths, flower beds and pavements of rubbish, litter and weeds.
These were all overgrown due to the Bolton Council cutbacks. All have gone out of their way to make Bradshaw and Harwood a better place to live in and created in parts little havens were wildlife including badgers, foxes, deer and mallards now visit.
Bradshaw and Harwood was becoming a little neglected and the village spirit I grew up in was waning, however with the beautiful flower troughs which I believe were donated by local councillors, The Old School House having new life breathed into it, our community champions and the fabulous Mr Bateman the founder of Harwood and Bradshaw Notice Board, village spirit is returning and hopefully together we can all continue to make both, better places to live in!
