DAVID Cameron’s plea for Muslim communities to integrate more into the greater society has drawn some hesitant responses from some of your readers including Chan Palmer of Bolton’s Interfaith Council.
I applaud Mr Palmer for his ethos and work in getting people from all religions to understand each other better.
Visiting the Interfaith website one can see all the activities organised throughout the years and there is a statistic that causes me some concern.
Last year, there were 15 organised visits to churches, 30 visits to mosques and 46 visits to temples. Out of the 15 visits paid to churches only one was by an Islamic school. Perhaps this demonstrates the point that Mr Cameron was trying to make ?
