READING of the plans for 56 new homes in Harwood, a couple of points need to be addressed.

Firstly building a pond next to a playground is akin to having a fox living in the chicken coop or will there be a six foot high fence around it or are lifesavers going to be present?

Secondly 56 homes will house roughly 224 people with maybe half of these children. Harwood already has a shortage of primary school places due to the council closing two schools, so where are these children going to be schooled and what medical and dental provision is being provided by the builders and the council to accommodate this influx of people or does the planning department ignore these concerns?

I am sure other residents will raise the issues of traffic bottle necks in the area that are already present.

I am not against the building of new houses, but let the council address the infrastructure problems created by new buildings and plan for these as well.
