THERE is some sick and twisted irony when both Tories and New Labourites talk of the politics of the past in relation to Labour leadership contender Jeremy Corbyn.

In case people have forgotten the politics of the past is alive and well in the present day through the odious and failed practice of so called trickle down economics and the selling off of national assets to pay for tax cuts for the rich and wealthy.

Corbyn is winning the leadership race because he cares more about people than helping an already bloated gaggle of millionaires who are the ultimate in state sanctioned benefit scrounging, and he knows that there is a better way of running the economy than presuming that if you give rich people more money and tax breaks that it will somehow make the economy work for all of us.
