HAVING seen the first series of 'Scrappers' on BBC2 last year and followed by the publicity in the build up to the new series which was due last Monday, I was really disappointed when it failed to appear as advertised.
It seems to have been pulled or 'scrapped' (pardon the pun), at the moment for what we have been told were 'legal reasons.'
Mysteriously, I read a review of the programme in a daily newspaper the following day (not very complimentary I might add) which made me wonder if these programmes are given a private preview to newspaper critics before they are aired to the public.
If this had been the case, why were the 'legal reasons' not sorted out well in advance before the release date?
Or, had the BBC given up on the show after realising that there was not much more that could be said about the subject?
