HAVE TV reality shows had their day?
I must confess that I have always been hooked but now the format seems to have become stale, repetitive and predictable.
How many more times do we have to hear the words on the X Factor, "You've nailed it," "That's amazing," and "You've got fur big fat yeses"?
And why waste time on bringing on joke acts that wouldn't pass muster on a street busking competition.
Regarding Celebrity Big Brother, the words "You decide" are making a mockery of the British TV phone voting public. The programme has become a complete 'con'.
The current series is proving to be be the most disgusting to date.
The editors are seemingly obsessed with the constant foul language and tear shedding. The only show to come out of all this without lowering its standards is "Strictly Come Dancing" and long may it remain so. TV is desperately in need of new ideas.
