IT'S time to declare war on litter louts and fly tippers.
I am sick of reading empty sound bites from our Council. Take action, be consistent, be hard but fair.
It makes my blood boil when I read of someone being fined for dropping a cigarette butt in the town centre but six months later it appears hardly anyone else has been fined. I could find twenty litter louts in one afternoon so what are the Council playing at?
Bolton is starting to resemble an open tip and it will get worse as people realise that they can actually get away with it.
Tenanted properties seem to be especially bad when it comes to discarded waste — can the landlords not be made more responsible for the effect their business is having on local streets and neighbourhoods?
