LIVING in Bolton where the police have recently had success in dealing with rival gangs in certain areas, I am concerned about the increase in the number of gun crimes in other parts of town.

Compared to America our gun laws are strong, but due to the ever increasing number of incidents in Farnworth, Little Hulton and Deane, they are evidently not strong enough.

There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to justify anyone to be in possession of a firearm, and the penalties should be increased accordingly to reflect the seriousness of the crime.
