THE piece on November 6 concerning the serious problems with road safety on St Helens Road in Bolton, highlights the problems both residents and working drivers, like myself, have to put up with on a daily basis.
However what concerns me is why a Labour MP, Yasmin Qureshi and Labour councillor Shafaqat Shaikh are having to ask the Labour Police Commissioner and Labour run Council 'to listen to the community's concerns.' Do they not already speak with one another about problems on our local roads and if not why?
