I READ with interest the report of the fast healing wound bandage made from chitosan found in crustacean shells, and created by the University of Bolton.
A much-needed product. However nothing was said about the supply of the material.
A question must arise that once this becomes industrially produced, how do they create a supply of crustaceans without adversely affecting these creatures and their environment?
These appear to be brilliant discoveries. As with all human discoveries, there is along-term effect on Nature.
Oh yes, and where will this product be manufactured? China! Now there's a surprise.
