HAD a knock on the door today, and a young chap stood there with digital device in hand. " I'm here about the new wheelie bins. " he said

Now he should have been asking me about my thoughts on recycling, how much rubbish I had each week etc etc so all this information could be processed and then a decision could be made by the council on what size bins people of the borough wanted,

But alas, this is Bolton council were dealing with, so he was here to tell me that I had no choice I was going to be given a smaller bin plus a multitude of other colour bins to recycle.

Instead of wasting millions of pounds replacing all the bins why not just leave us with our original bin and empty it every three weeks, the council would still have the same problem they're going to have with fly tipping that will be caused by the introduction of smaller bins, but they would save on the cost of replacing them.

Bolton is going to look like Balamory with all the coloured bins outside people's houses
