SO, Bolton council does not have the funds to fight a legal battle with a developer who wishes to build houses on a green field sight in Blackrod.
This same council can find £1 million for an unwanted development at Bolton One, however.
Pity it puts these sorts of developments ahead of the people's requirements. Surely it is better to fight unwanted developments than spend on unwanted grandiose schemes.
The voters in Blackrod do have the means to hit back and demonstrate there total objection to the councils decision.
On May 5, they can vote in the local elections, if they feel strongly about the council's decision, just vote for any other candidate than Labour, especially Lib Dem.
If this was to happen over a number of wards and Labour was to lose safe seats and poll a very low number of votes, then it would start to listen to the people, but not before.
It is up to you, voters of Bolton. Do you want a change of attitude in the council or lots more of the same nonsense?
