FREQUENT letters on this page are from people asking for the council to scrap the plan to replace the larger grey bins for the smaller ones, and giving sensible reasons for retaining the larger ones.
Why does the council not listen to common sense? It is obvious that fly-tipping will increase, so why spend thousands of pounds unnecessarily on smaller bins which are barely adequate even for small households with only two people.
Even those people who recycle properly will be unable to cope with smaller ones.
For far too long, the Labour council has spent, and wasted, thousands of pounds on ruining our town, which we could previously be proud of, and continue to do the same.
If it managed its finances properly by using money on essentials, there would be no need to increase council tax and reduce public services, so why keep voting for them.
