I COULDN'T believe it when I read the daily poll recently, in the Bolton News which asked: "Should the government do more to help the homeless?" Seventeen per cent of those asked said no.

How can anyone accept the fact that there are people sleeping on the streets? That people have nowhere to call home? It shouldn't happen in a wealthy country like the UK.

Perhaps some of those who answered no, in the poll, could tell us why. I would be very interested in hearing their views.
