ON television we were treated to Prime Minister David Cameron giving a speech to a audience of young people.

His words were nothing more than patronising nonsense. Skewed with half truths whilst trying to persuade the youth of this country that the EU is good for their futures and without using a single statistic or facts to back up his claims. So here are some verifiable facts that perhaps deserve a mention.

Youth unemployment in the EU area: Spain 49.9% Greece 49.7% Croatia 43.6% Italy 42.7% Portugal 42.6% Cyprus 34.4% Slovakia 26.2% France 24.5%; and Ireland 21.3%.The list goes on.

Youth unemployment in the UK is 15.7% and judging by the number of countries in dire straights in the EU, most can see this rising very soon. Particularly if we continue a open border to these same countries that are in decline, as they have been for many years now and will continue to decline for many years to come.

How on Earth can this be a benefit for our youth Mr Cameron?

He then quoted a list of establishment organisations who agree with him, failing to mention of course, that each receives a considerable amount of EU 'funding' via the UK taxpayer. As do most of these organisations supporting the remain camp.

Some people may prefer to use another name for this EU 'funding'.
