WHEN nine months ago, Jeremy Corbyn was elected Leader of the Labour Party with an overwhelming majority, many inside and outside the Labour Party who had been disillusioned for so long felt hope.

Here was a Socialist, who believed in an egalitarian society, who was both anti-war and firmly opposed to Trident, Britain's own weapon of mass destruction.

But the Blairite/Brownite Parliamentary Labour Party, which consists of far too many warmongers and Trident huggers, couldn't stand the idea of having a leader who stood for radical change. So they set about plotting to get rid of him from the start. But they were uncertain as to how to proceed. The vote for Brexit provided them with the excuse they were looking for. Corbyn sabotaged the Leave Campaign by not campaigning hard enough. So the fact that Remain lost was all Corbyn's Fault and he is obviously not fit to lead the Labour Party

It was all nonsense: the Lib Dems have not moved against Tim Farron because Brexit won. That Hilary Benn should be the first to wield the assassin's knife against the old friend and comrade of his late lamented father Tony aptly typifies the squalid politics of these enemies of democracy, who have such dominance in the Parliamentary Labour Party.

Hilary Benn and Co want the Labour Party to become again the pink Tories of the Blair/Brown ascendancy, even if it means that that the many people who joined or rejoined the Labour Party because of the election of Corbyn , disillusioned yet again, will stay at home rather than canvass for the Party, for hope will have disappeared

It is essential that Corbyn should be supported by people inside and outside the Labour Party. I hope Bolton's two Labour MPs will give him their support.
