THE Euro election is over, the people have decided so what should happen now? Nothing should be done in a hurry, what this country needs is stability, markets do not like volatility.

My suggestion is quite simple — we should have a coalition government to take us through the negotiations. We should remember that all parties came together at the death of Jo Cox and spoke of her desire for people (and parties) to work together. If the politicians really meant what they said in Parliament this should not be a problem. We need an all party negotiating committee to deal with Europe and one to look at the regulations and laws on our statute books relating to the European Union; the timescale is irrelevant, there are thousands of regulations which could take well into 2020 time to decide.

We need a Trade Department now and we should instruct our ambassadors to explain to the world that Britain is open for business.

Scotland has no right to call a second referendum on leaving the Union because it voted to stay in. I supported them leaving the union but now they would be crazy to do so, England should be too worried about it.

Northern Ireland is also in the Union; the fact that it voted to stay in the EU has no meaning as they are part of the Union, but if it wishes to join Eire with all the problems it has got with the EU, taxes and the economic downturn so be it. It will save the UK billions.

Europe has already signalled trade agreements can be reached and will be reached.

Politicians must remember their first allegiance is to the electorate, not to any political party and certainly not to their own egos. T

A lot of people are upset with the result but that can be said about any election; the Houses of Parliament should unite, speak with one voice and respect the wishes of the people. The Labour Party should and must stop this internal fighting. Jeremy did not let anybody down but the Labour Party has let itself down over the last 10 years. The leader of the CBI said industry can cope, that is what industry is good at, only politicians who haven't got a vision outside the EC bauble fail to cope.
