To Chris Green MP: Interesting read in the Bolton News, "Still a pain on the train" Monday, August 1, however, you're telling us what we already know about our train service in Bolton across across the Northwest. It is dreadful we know!

We've been shafted. Poor service, crammed conditions, over capacity — it's been happening for the best part of 30 years — and now your government is the one who has cut the transport budget even further. The buses are the same. You and your colleagues have already cut lifeline services to some the most vulnerable people in my area.

We're the poor cousins of our southern relatives, and yet somehow we are made to feel like we should be grateful for what we have. Train users know how bad it is. They don't need a constant reminder.

Residents want to know what you're actually doing to get us proper funding and a decent train service where customer service is put first.
