IT WAS interesting to see the ‘Looking Back’ photo of Telehire in Market St.
I remember them for selling records in the 1960s. I didn’t actually own a record player but you could go into the shop and they would play the record for you before you bought it.
I also remember that every so often they would bring artistes in to promote their records.
I still have the autographs of Marty Wilde, Frankie Vaughan, Emile Forde and The Allisons.
