THE closure of prestigious Prestons of Bolton, 'The Diamond Centre of the North', would have nothing to do with the recently allowed planning application re nearby premises affecting pavement use would it, poses the question.
As this could be seen as detrimental to the business footfall, was this the straw that broke the camel's back?
