AFTER reading the story by a local driving instructor on the standards of many of today's motorists, (Saturday, August 27) I totally agree with him 100 per cent.
The stretch of the A6 Manchester Road, Westhoughton, between White Horse traffic lights and the Mercury Hotel, is like a race track.
The speed limit of 40mph might as well be 70mph for many who just have no regard for driving in a built up area.
Sooner or later someone is in serious danger of losing their life on this stretch of road.
So well done to the driving instructor for raising what is becoming almost 'lawless' driving by far too many selfish motorists.
