REGARDING the story about fly tipping on September 30.
My daughter complained to Bury council about a full bathroom suite dumped at the end of their row of terraced of houses it had been there over a month, she was told the seven properties would have to contribute to have it removed. Yet no one in the row had replaced a bathroom, it was just dumped overnight.
After a further two weeks she and her husband did two trips in their car to the local recycling centre to remove this eyesore. It is not acceptable and more severe punishment should be given to deter these lazy, inconsiderate people.
I went a walk yesterday and saw a massive pile of mainly household waste/ broken toys/ fireguard left by the main avenue on a nearby estate in Bolton. I have seen on more than one occasion people in cars stop to eat/drink then open the car door and put their rubbish on the floor then drive off.
