GREAT minds think alike (at last)!
Further to the story in Thursday's 'Bolton News' regarding the clash of concerts on November 12. I raised this point last year and again earlier this year, when my letters were published in the Bolton News.
One or two thoughts come to mind. If this clash has only happened this year and last — what happened previously, when there wasn't a clash — presumably there wasn't a concert at the Hall?
Since the Remembrance concert is celebrating its 25th year this year and is held on the same Saturday every year, most people should know about this concert by now
Since the Albert Halls have been and are still closed, could the Remembrance concert not have been held at the Hall. Although I realise this would mean that the Parish Church would loose out — maybe next year ?
Obviously people can't attend both concerts, so they both loose out in the end
